WHAT’S DSRIP?
The NY State’s DSRIP (Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment) Program intends to reduce avoidable hospital use through delivery system reform. The NY State will reinvest $8 billion to address community-level collaborations and focus on system reform, specifically to achieve 25% reduction in avoidable hospital use over the next five years.
Individual providers (hospitals, clinics etc.) collaborate to form part of a Performing Provider System (PPS) where the lead provider (“PPS lead”) handles the DSRIP application process and the subsequent management of the program across all its members.
The “NY DSRIP Network” provides an infrastructure which allows Performing Provider Systems to communicate and exchange information in a secure and reliable way. The Network synchronizes demographics, diagnoses, allergies, medication, treatments and procedures across all connected providers.
